Kottamudi, Kodagu — As part of the preparations for SANA BARQ 2.0, the Markazul Hidaya Life Festival 2K26, a formal flag hand-over ceremony was conducted for the Karakoram Hussars team.
The event took place at Markazul Hidaya, Kottamudi, Kodagu, under the banner of PACIFEX - Festival Collective. Members of the team, dressed in white attire and turbans, received the official team flag bearing the name "KARAKORAM HUSSARS".
Speaking about the team’s identity, organizers stated that the name draws inspiration from the Karakoram mountain range — home to Earth’s densest concentration of towering peaks, including K2 at 8,611 meters. The range symbolizes icy dominance, unyielding height, and absolute authority.
Combined with the legacy of the Hussars — an elite combat unit known for swift and decisive strikes — the Karakoram Hussars aim to embody speed, precision, and leadership.
"The team operates at heights others can only gaze upon. They move with speed, strike with precision, and dominate from the top," a festival representative noted.
SANA BARQ 2.0 - SPACE WITHIN THE PACE is scheduled to be held at Markazul Hidaya, Kottamudi, Kodagu - 571214. The festival will feature arts, literary, and cultural competitions across multiple categories, managed digitally through the FESTLIVE platform.
